Business in a Box — Sustainable, Portable and Affordable

If you look around at current trends in architecture, repurposed shipping containers are all the rage. ISO containers (also known as intermodal containers) are used to store and move materials and products efficiently and securely in the global containerized intermodal freight transport system. "Intermodal" indicates that the container can be moved from one mode of transport to another (from rail, to truck, to ship) without unloading and reloading the contents of the container. Lengths of containers vary from 8 to 56 feet (2.438 to 17.069 m) and heights from 8 feet (2.438 m) to 9 feet 6 inches (2.896 m). There are about 17 million intermodal containers in the world of varying types to suit different cargoes.

In recent years, ISO containers have started being used for countless applications outside of the shipping world. From architectural and commercial projects to small restaurants and bars, a container that has “open sides” can make for endless usage possibilities. The fact that the Hydroswing® hydraulic door is pre hung in its very own load bearing frame, allowed the evolution and growing use of ISO shipping containers. Meet the ISO DOOR™ by Hydroswing®.  The Patent Pending system is built around our renowned single panel Hydroswing® hydraulic door. Sized accordingly, a hydraulic door can be fitted to the ISO shipping container on either of the sides, ends or top and can also be used for "cross-dooring" between containers for shelter buildings.

The plug-and -play ISO DOOR™ simply locks on to side, ends (or links between sides or ends) of the ISO shipping container, utilizing the ISO tandemlok quick attach. And you have an instant “bar in a box” or any other kind of “pop up” establishment you can think of. This is the “missing link” for fast, sustainable, and portable businesses.  Our ISO door is instant re-purposing of the old shipping container. With the same single panel strength the Hydroswing® Door offers, the ISO DOOR™ made a quantum leap into ISO containers.

Other industries interested in this unique door system are disaster relief, mining and exploration, specialized shelter manufacturers, Special Forces, oil tanker/vessel protection services and most obviously, shipping companies for ease of loading/unloading product into containers. The ISO DOOR™ system is undergoing review for full ISO certification so as to be able to enter the ISO shipping process and enable integration for containers fitted or modified to be shipped simply as a normal container… this is a logistical planner’s dream.

Need a Hydraulic Door Part?

Hydroswing® innovates again! The new Hydraulic Door “Parts Store” is rolling!  Our years of experience in the world of Hydraulic doors has taught us a thing or two, mainly how difficult it is to get a hold of spare parts. The initial “fleet” of single panel hydraulic doors produced by Hydroswing® is beginning to mature, so it made sense to create a source for the naturally aging parts. Our new Hydraulic Door Parts Store is not only a one-stop-shop for ALL your Hydroswing® hangar and shop door needs, but we can also source and upgrade parts for other doors on the market.

We have crafted the Hydraulic Door Parts Store to serve as an online resource for worn seals, weather strips, motors, controls, hoses and connectors. We have also created an opportunity (subject to certain required information) to allow our “early adopters” to buy latest generation upgrades. This allows customers to continue to enjoy their perfectly good Hydroswing® doors but with the benefit of updated generation cylinders with integral, zero drop Hydroloks, a new Push Button Station and Remote, or a new weather seal that may be in need of replacement.

The Parts Store is one-stop-shopping for anyone in need of any part for any hydraulic door. Our troubleshooting guide will help you determine what you may need for your door. We have everything from O-rings for old rams, to kits that service cylinders. You’ll also find replacement hinges, pin points, spherical bearings, seals and weather-proofing to hard and soft lines, hydraulic couplings, and complete pumps and motors, and more.

With over 7,000 Hydroswing® door systems in use worldwide, we know our parts. Our unique hydraulic door Parts Store will even offer “green” hydraulic fluid for use in areas with specialty environmental controls. Hydroswing® will continue to change the face of the door industry bringing hydraulic technologies and parts to customers worldwide. Visit the Parts Store today for all your Hydraulic Door Part needs. www.hydraulicdoorparts.com

ISO 9001/ AWS D1.1 – Because Quality Matters

Hydroswing® is synonymous with quality. From the beginning, our standards have been the highest in the industry.  All Hydroswing® doors are fabricated in ISO 9001 facilities that adhere to the American Welding Society (AWS) D1.1 code requirements for welding of structural steel. Unlike other manufacturers, we understand the importance of working within specific codes and with vendors who boast an ISO certification. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the largest developer in the world of voluntary International Standards.  An independent and non-governmental membership organization at work in 165 countries, ISO began in London in 1946 with a goal to “facilitate the international coordination and unification of industrial standards.” Today, ISO has published over 19,500 International Standards covering almost all of manufacturing and technology.

ISO 9001 is part of the ISO 9000 “family of quality management systems standards” designed to help manufacturers meet statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product.  A third party certification provides an “independent confirmation” that companies meet the requirements of ISO 9001. So what does the mean for Hydroswing® customers? It means we are confident in our selected vendors and we pass that quality to our end users.  The ISO 9001 facilities we work with have Quality Management Systems (QMS) in place and are stringently audited for welding and quality assurance. The hydraulic components are sourced centrally in the United States for further continuous quality and supply chain integrity.

At Hydroswing®, fabrication quality is just one area we set ourselves apart from others. Our welding is always to AWS D1.1 code which covers the requirements for “any type of welded structure made from the commonly used carbon and low-alloy constructional steels.”  Another example of our quality systems is our shot blasting pre-paint. This ensures the perfect base for the application of Carboline carboguard 890, a highly chemical-resistant epoxy mastic coating that adds 50% greater corrosion resistance than any other hydraulic door offered in this category. Shot blasting allows an added layer of inspection of the steel for rare imperfections which remain unseen in non shot blasted door systems.

The quality control doesn't stop there!  Our patented Hydroswing® bow truss (US D584,831S) is unique in the industry and use only premium hydraulic lines, hoses and connectors. To make our standards complete, we also use only UL certified controls motors and pumps.  It’s all about quality. It’s Hydroswing. The Original Hydroswing - Still the First, Still the Best

"Original" is defined as "present or existing from the beginning; first or earliest." and "something serving as a model or basis for imitations or copies." In the world of hydraulic doors, original can simply be defined as "Hydroswing." Since its creation in 1996, the Hydroswing® has been the benchmark for single panel hydraulic door systems. With necessity being the mother of invention, it was only a matter of time before bifold and roller doors would be eclipsed by hydraulics, a more efficient option for aviation, agriculture and architecture sectors. Hydroswing® brought the revolution and continues to be the leader.

Being the original hydraulic door manufacturer, we have always had an outstanding product. Nonetheless, we had a few stumbling blocks in our early production structure and knew we had to make some changes and come to our buyers more cost effectively. Hydroswing® is now being manufactured in ISO 9001 approved global manufacturing plants allowing for a 25+% price cost reduction in the final product. We are hitting the market again with the original high quality hydraulic doors, but at a bifold price, square foot for square foot. We are changing the dynamics of the marketplace.

Hydroswing® door copies, usually offered by bifold manufacturers, are popping up regularly. But, keep in mind that if you're not buying directly from Hydroswing®, it's NOT a Hydroswing®. Currently, we are the only distributor of the original Hydroswing®, and anything else is just a knock-off. Look for our "H" logo... if you don't find it, it's not ours.

We'll custom manufacture a door in any size as large as 40' tall and 150' wide. Our customers are choosing the Hydroswing® door for security, wind load strength, and overall building use and efficiency.

More Originals to Come...

The fact that the Hydroswing® Door is pre hung in its very own load bearing frame, allowed for an evolution. Following many requests for the growing use of ISO shipping containers for architecture, military and commercial industries, the patent pending "plug and play" door for ISO Containers emerged. The ISO DOOR™ simply locks onto the side, ends or links between side or ends of the the ISO shipping container utilizing the ISO "tandelock" quick attach. This is the "missing link" for container shelter doors for mining and military operations as well as many other industries. It also allows instant re-purposing of the old shipping container and effective building of shipping container shelters of any size. With Hydroswing® providing a superior door solution, there are now endless possibilities for mobile shelters for UAV's, mining, exploration equipment and disaster relief operations.

The original Hydroswing® product now serves many sectors and sizes. A growing number of door problems are solved with simple, efficient and strong product. The design team is now located in various countries, all with valuable input to the Hydroswing® brand. Building on 10+ years of design and engineering expertise from the USA, Hydroswing® continues to bring the hydraulic overhead to the next generation.
